At Beaumont Manor Care Home in Essex, we take great pride in providing our residents with the finer things in life, and that certainly is the case when it comes to our catering and dining.
For many, eating and drinking is as much of a hobby as it is a necessity. Indulging in good food has the power to boost people's moods and we understand the importance in providing our residents with the food they love to eat. It is equally important to us that we provide our residents with meals that are balanced, nutritious, and meet their needs.
Our catering team is excellent at ensuring that food and nutrition are at the heart of Beaumont Manor Care Home, and each meal is lovingly prepared with our resident's nutritional and wellbeing needs in mind.
We understand the needs of our residents who are at nutritional risk and we make a great effort to meet with them regularly to reignite their passion for food and help motivate residents to have a sustained nutritional intake. To achieve this, we cook individual dishes, alongside regular alternatives and offer three choices of meals at every mealtime.
Our Head Chef, James, works with our nursing staff to understand weight loss which he communicates to his team. By doing so, James ensures that his team alongside the nursing and care staff, acknowledges the different ways of encouraging residents to enjoy their food.
We recognise that nutrition is a holistic necessity, not only for physical health but also for emotional and social wellbeing. Our catering team works with our activity coordinator to provide themed meals and special food-related events for our residents, ensuring an all-round positive experience.
We understand that food can often bring people together which is why we encourage families to use our private dining room. Whether for a family party, birthday, or special date night for our married residents, our private dining room allows our residents to reconnect with their loved ones, enjoy a restaurant experience and continue to make memories.
Our Head Chef James is exceptional at motivating our catering team each month by choosing seasonal ingredients and developing menus around these. James has also supported our apprentice Chef to achieve his ambition of becoming a Chef. We also have a team of hostesses who provide a hotel experience for every resident at each mealtime.
