A Day at the Beach for Beaumont Manor Residents

At Beaumont Manor Care Home in Frinton-on-Sea, we believe that life by the coast should be enjoyed to the fullest. What better way to make the most of the summer sunshine than with a trip to the seaside? Recently, our residents spent a wonderful day at Frinton Beach, soaking up the fresh sea air and sharing laughter, stories, and plenty of smiles.

With a cosy beach hut hired for the day, we set up a perfect little seaside base. Residents made themselves comfortable with deck chairs, hats, and sun cream at the ready, prepared to enjoy everything that a traditional day at the beach has to offer. The sound of waves and the distant laughter of families filled the air, setting the perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation and connection.

No trip to the seaside would be complete without fish and chips, and ours were absolutely delicious. We tucked into the freshly made meal while enjoying the beautiful sea view, and it quickly became the highlight of the day. Between bites, residents shared stories of childhood holidays and fond memories of days gone by at the beach, sparking lots of conversation and nostalgia.

As the day went on, we enjoyed a gentle stroll along the promenade, watching the seagulls swoop overhead and feeling the soft breeze on our faces. The sunshine, sea air, and good company made for a truly heart-warming experience that everyone will remember fondly.

At Beaumont Manor, days like this remind us how important it is to stay active, social, and connected to the world beyond our home. Our activity team works hard to create meaningful experiences that bring joy and help residents continue doing the things they love, whether that’s exploring the outdoors, enjoying a favourite hobby, or simply spending time with friends.
