Nursing Care FAQs

The type of Nursing Care offered by care homes and nursing homes can vary depending on the needs of the individual. However, at Beaumont Manor Care Home, we can offer a range of nursing services from medication management and wound care, to help with activities of daily living, and support with specialist care such as those affected by cancer or a stroke. Our team of nurses are also responsible for the coordination of our care with other healthcare providers and ensures that our residents receive the exact care that they need to maintain their health and wellbeing.

There are various signs to look out for which may indicate that a loved one needs nursing care:

  • Recent falls, accidents, hospitalisations, or emergency visits
  • Significant weight loss or changes in appetite
  • Difficulty performing activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care such as bathing, dressing, or grooming
  • Increased confusion or forgetfulness
  • Worsening chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, or dementia
  • Difficulty managing medications or complying with treatment plans
  • Need for specialised medical equipment or care, such as wound care or oxygen therapy

The nursing team here at Beaumont Manor can help assess the level of care that is needed and offer support and guidance on the most appropriate type of care for your loved one. It is essential to communicate openly with your loved one and ensure that they are involved in the decision-making process regarding their care if possible.

At Beaumont Manor Care Home, we require a 28-day notice period for residents receiving any of our long-term care types and are looking to move out. Our compassionate team are on hand around the clock to support you with your moving transition and answer any further questions you have.
