What is Respite Care?

Everyone needs a break now and then, that’s why many care homes offer respite care as a short-term care solution. Whether you’re caring full-time for a loved one or have recently had an injury or illness, you’ll be able to relax and unwind knowing you or your loved one is in the best hands until you feel ready to return to a normal life.

Many prospective residents use respite care as a way of trialling a care home on a temporary basis, to see if the home is the right fit for them as their new home. Those receiving Respite care will receive a personalised care plan, with special attention paid to each need and request during your stay. Respite care can usually last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

Respite Care at Beaumont Manor

We are pleased to offer respite care at our luxury care home in Essex. We work with each person and their family members to create a customised care package that suits their lifestyle and current situation, offering as much or as little assistance as is needed. We recognise that each person staying with us has different needs and preferences, therefore we take great pride in being able to provide care that is unique to everyone. Our respite care service is offered anywhere from a few weeks up to a few months, and we will assess residents prior to arrival to ensure a correct length of stay is arranged, and their progression will be monitored.

Residential Care

Those receiving residential care are cared for 24 hours a day. Residents can socialise in a group setting and focus on doing the things they love most. We believe it’s important for residents to continue being self-sufficient where possible, and our team is always on hand to provide support and assistance. We get to know our residents to the best of our ability which allows us to provide the best care and ensure everyone is satisfied. Each resident will have a customised care plan created for them which will be regularly monitored and reviewed if necessary.

Nursing Care

Beaumont Manor has a team of qualified nurses whose duty is to provide around-the-clock nursing care. Those who are physically disabled, have learning difficulties, are living with long-term health conditions or in need of palliative care will highly benefit from nursing care as they become reliant on others. Each individual will be assigned their own nurse who will get to know them and their families to provide comprehensive, person-centred care. Our nursing home has only the best modern technology which will assist in providing effective nursing care.

Dementia Care

A common condition that affects many older people in the UK is Dementia. As the condition progresses, a person will require additional support, and the amount of support will depend on the type of dementia someone has. We ensure the dementia care provided is always tailored to the individual, as no two people living with dementia have the same experience. Our team has been highly trained to deal with the different types of dementia so that they can provide the very best care to everyone. We provide alternative therapies and activities that help relieve the tensions and frustrations associated with dementia within a homely setting.

Supporting You Through a Difficult Time

Researching care homes on behalf of a loved one can be a daunting process. It’s not always obvious which type of care service someone needs, as well as finding a care home that will be most suitable. At Beaumont Manor, the Home Manager and team aims to alleviate any stress for residents and their loved ones, that’s why we work closely with them to find out the needs and interests of the person seeking care. We can then advise on the best care option available whether that’s short-term or long-term care, as well as the next steps for peace of mind.

Beaumont Manor Care Home is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who are an independent body that inspects and regulates health and social care services in England. By carrying out regular inspections, it ensures that care homes and nursing homes meet a high standard of care, and where support will be given on certain areas of the home if required. We are proud of our good overall rating and will continue to do our very best to uphold our high rating.
